With the purity of 999 silver, the Perak silver dirham currently comes in a box set with 1 silver dirham (2.975g), 2 dirham (5.95g), and 10 dirham (29.75g).

The Perak dinar and dirham are uniquely designed, reflecting both history and modernity. The crest of the the state of Perak is imprinted on the observe of the coin and the classical design of the first ever Islamic dinar minted by Caliph Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan is replicated on the reverse of the coin.
